Hyderabad Metro Rail Ltd has put on fast track work on certain stretches in order to make up for the six-month delay the project faced earlier.
Works at Uppal and Miyapur depots and foundation works on Nagole-Mettuguda stretch are being speeded up, a company release said.
The casting yard at Uppal is almost ready and casting of segments has commenced. Pillar foundation works between Nagole and Mettuguda are being taken up in a big way by the construction wing of L&T.
“Our aim is to complete as many foundations as possible out of the 305 foundations of stage-I Nagole-Mettuguda stretch before monsoon,” Mr N. V. S. Reddy, Managing Director, said.
