IBS bags ‘systems provider' award

IBS Software, a leading IT systems provider to the travel, transportation and logistics industry, has won the ‘IT Systems Provider of the Year' award for the year 2011. The award has been instituted by the Mumbai-based STAT Trade Times, according to a spokesman for IBS here.

This international award that recognises excellence among IT solution providers in the air cargo domain is given based on an independent worldwide online poll. The award was announced at the Air Cargo India 2012 event in Mumbai. Mr Rajiv Shah, Chief Executive Officer of the IBS Group, received the award.

According to him, IBS has developed and successfully delivered a number of next generation solutions for mission-critical business functions in the aviation industry, earning the trust of airlines and airports the world over.

“This award is a true reflection of our commitment to deliver outstanding value to our customers and is in recognition of IBS emerging role as the transformational partner to the global aviation industry,” Mr Shah said.

iCargo, a solution developed by IBS in collaboration with six leading airlines, has now emerged as the most definitive cargo management solution in the industry with over 20 leading cargo carriers having adopted it by replacing their legacy systems.

The list includes All Nippon Airways, Austrian Airlines, Kingfisher Airlines, Nippon Cargo Airways, Qantas Freight, S7 Cargo, SpiceJet, South African Airways, Jetblue, Airways and Cargoitalia.
