Jet Airways will increase frequency between Kolkata and Bangkok with the introduction of its second daily flight from May 10.

According to a company release, this new daily flight, a Boeing 737, will meet the airline’s holiday demand this summer. Flight 9W 72 will leave Kolkata at 11 am in the morning to arrive Bangkok at 3.10 pm. On return, 9W 71 will leave Bangkok at 4.00 pm to reach Kolkata at 5.05 pm, providing onward connections to other destinations on the airline’s network.

Jet currently runs three flights a day from Mumbai to Bangkok. Delhi has one flight a day to Bangkok.

“With the increased flow of tourist and business traffic to and from Bangkok along with the growing seasonal demand, we are pleased to provide this additional flight to meet the requirement of our guests,” Mr. Sudheer Raghavan, chief commercial officer, Jet Airways, said.
