Mumbai’s Chhatrapati Shivaji International Airport (CSIA) has been rated as the world’s best airport in the 25-40 million passengers per year category by Airports Council International (ACI) in the Airport Service Quality (ASQ) Awards for the year 2015.

The results reflect the world’s best-in-class airports, as appraised by the passengers themselves while they are travelling and the experience is fresh in their minds.

CSIA was inducted into the ACI Director-General’s Roll of Excellence by ACI for having consistently delivered excellence in customer service for five years in a row. The ASQ Awards are testimony to CSIA’s continued excellence in customer service. The 2015 survey result is the latest feather in CSIA’s cap, which has won several awards over the past two years.

G V Sanjay Reddy, Managing Director of MIAL, said, “We started off with a vision to be among the best airports in the world, and the award is validation of the fact that our efforts towards establishing world-leading service quality are headed in the right direction. We have continuously upgraded our services to delight guests and offer the best comfort and convenience.”

Jaya He, GVK New Museum, is India’s largest contemporary art programme on display at Terminal 2 of the airport. With nearly 7,000 exclusively sourced exquisite ethnographic objects, Jaya He, GVK New Museum, has two distinct sections - ‘Layered Narratives’ at the arrivals corridor, which explores various aspects of Mumbai’s changing landscape, and ‘Thresholds of India’, a scenography wall spanning a total of 3.3 km and leading to the different boarding lounges.

The installations at Jaya He are made of various mediums ranging from canvas, fibre, terracotta, paper, and stone to metal. They portray India’s rich art heritage and cultural traditions.
