SpiceJet to connect Ahmedabad with Muscat

Low cost airline SpiceJet on Tuesday announced that it has commenced sale of tickets for its latest international non-stop flight on the Ahmedabad-Muscat route, scheduled to be launched on August 29.

The service will be operated thrice-a-week on a 189-seater Boing 737-800 New Generation aircraft. Muscat will be the ninth international destination to be served by SpiceJet, the airline said in a statement here.

The flight from Ahmedabad (SG 061) will depart at 2130 hours (local time) and arrive at Muscat at 2300 hours (local time) on Mondays, Thursdays and Fridays. The flight from Muscat will depart at 0030 hours and arrive at 0420 hours on Tuesdays, Fridays and Saturdays.

The launch of a new direct flight between Muscat, the capital city of Oman, and Ahmedabad will improve connectivity between two thriving centers for trade and commerce.

The airline is offering an introductory fare of Rs 5,999/- one way (inclusive of all taxes) on this route.

SpiceJet has a 19.5% of market share in Indian domestic market, delivering the lowest air fares with the highest consumer value. The airline currently operates more than 350 daily flights to over 45 Indian cities.

Its eight international destinations are Dubai, Colombo, Kabul, Kathmandu, Riyadh, Guangzhou, Male and Sharjah.
