Vivekananda Express coming to Coimbatore on July 20

The Vivekananda Express, showcasing the life and philosophy of spiritual leader Swami Vivekananda, will arrive here on a two-day trip from July 20, for public viewing. The train would move to Erode on July 23, where it would be stationed for a day, a Southern Railway release said today.

The special exhibition train was flagged of by the then Railway Minister, Ms Mamata Banerjee, on January 12 from Howrah station, as a tribute from the Railways on the occasion of the 150th Birth Anniversary of Vivekananda.

The exhibition covers important stations in India, taking the message of religious harmony and unity to the people. It contains photographs and write ups, which are displayed to project the life, work and message of Vivekananda, the release said.
