NTC launches retail chain Indian Republic

The National Textile Corporation has launched a retail chain called Indian Republic.

The initiative, being rolled out through franchise route, will have 300 stores in the first phase.

These stores are expected to sell 3.6 million metres of fabric annually.

The Union Minister for Textiles, Kavuru Sambasiva Rao, unveiled the logo of Indian Republic here on Wednesday on the occasion of Gandhi Jayanthi.

Initially, the stores will sell only men's wear. First of the stores will come up in Hyderabad, Chennai, Bangalore and New Delhi, an NTC official said.
