Pearson Schools, an initiative of Pearson, an education, media and publishing group, has launched ‘EduriteONE', a VSAT-based ‘live link' competitive exam training programme.

The programme is a ‘remote delivery education service' where teachers from Pearson's studio will video conference with students in Pearson's schools in Tier 2 and Tier 3 cities in the country, through VSAT Technology enabled classrooms.

Students will be coached for competitive exams such as AIEEE, IITJEE, CET and other State and Central level engineering and medical examinations.

The programme will be offered out of Pearson's studio in Bangalore, and has been launched at one of Pearson's school in Madhya Pradesh today.

Another studio will be set up in Delhi and the service will be provided to all Pearson schools, Ms Meena Ganesh, CEO, Pearson Education Services said.

It is an optional programme for all Pearson students, and students will have to pay additional fees to take the course, Ms Ganesh said. All the material will be provided to students, and tests will be administered periodically, she added.

Pearson, which will initially offer the service to only its schools, also plans to offer the programme to students of other schools through retail centres on a partnership basis, Ms Ganesh said.
