Nokia unveils ‘touch and type' handset

The mobile phone handset major Nokia, on Wednesday launched its first ‘touch and type' design in two models.

Announcing the launch here, Mr T.S. Sridhar, Regional General Manager (South), Nokia India, said this innovation is based on in-depth research and consumer feedback which reveal that mobile users who have invested years in becoming fast one-handed, one-thumb texters want to maintain their speedy edge for SMS, chat and instant messaging — and yet enjoy the benefits of touch screen technology too.

The new Nokia X3-02 and C3-01 models, the fusion of both touch and type technologies, are 3G enabled and has in-built music players with over 16GB extendable memory, and priced at Rs 8,839 and Rs 9,389, respectively.
