Wipro BPO, the outsourcing arm of India’s third largest IT services company Wipro Ltd, has launched a nationwide skills enhancement initiative for undergraduates in the finance and accounting disciplines.
The company has partnered with Firstnaukri.com to promote the initiative wherein the latter will host the online module of the programme on its portal..
The courses, which will be available online and be piloted as a part of the initiative titled FINPro, were launched in colleges in Chennai, Bangalore and Hyderabad, according to a company statement.
This initiative is targeted at both undergraduate students and graduates in Bachelors in Commerce or Business Administration in India.
If the initiative becomes successful, Wipro plans to extend these courses to other related services sectors, according to company officials.
