Educomp Solutions, Everonn Education and to a lesser extent NIIT may be the key beneficiaries of the 21.7 per cent increase in the budgetary allocation for Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan (SSA) to Rs 25,555 crore. Also, with 6,000 schools proposed to be set up as model schools provides added opportunities.

Educomp is the largest provider ICT (Information communication technology) services to government schools with as many as 11,122 institutions under its fold. Everonn is the other key player with NIIT taking minor exposure.

Providing ICT services is essentially providing basic computing facilities in government schools and is hardware intensive.

Everonn derives around a fourth of its revenues from ICT services alone.

For Educomp and NIIT, their schools learning solutions vertical, that include segments apart from ICT, provides over 68 per cent and 10 per cent revenues, respectively.

Educomp and Everonn have entrenched relationship with several State Governments in implementing the ICT services. While the former has been more selective in bidding in recent times, the latter may be expected to bid aggressively for deals from government schools.
