Payments technology solutions provider FINO PayTech announced the elevation of its COO and ED Rishi Gupta as the new Managing Director and CEO of the company.
Gupta, who been overseeing the business operations of the company since December 2013, assumed charge with immediate effect. FINO PayTech has applied for payment bank licence.
“These are interesting as well as challenging times for FINO as we embark on an ambitious foray into retail business. As an organisation our endeavour would be to grow in the financial inclusion and payments space with continuous focus on innovation, customer centric approach and value creation for all stakeholders,” Gupta said.
Gupta, 46, has been with FINO for over 8 years.
In his new role he is expected to guide FINO PayTech into a new growth phase and will be assisted by a team of proven professionals in the banking domain. He brings with him a wealth of experience which will help FINO serve its clients better in a changing and competitive environment.
FINO PayTech has ICICI Bank, Union Bank of India, Indian Bank and LIC, among others as its investors.
