ITC Infotech, an arm of the ITC Group, plans to set up facilities in Tier-II cities of Andhra Pradesh. Mr Anand, Senior Vice-President of the company, met Mr Ponnala Lakshmaiah, Minister for Information Technology in Andhra Pradesh, to discuss their plans.
“They have requested us to give them an opportunity to start their operations in Tier-II cities. We told them that Tirupati, Visakhapatnam, Warangal, Vijayawada and Kakinada have emerged good destinations outside of Hyderabad,” Mr Lakshmaiah said here in a statement.
IT conference
Meanwhile, the Minister has left for Israel to attend an IT conference scheduled there for five days next week.
“We are going to sign an agreement with that country with regard to business identification, planning, marketing, financial assistance and research and development,” the Minister said, before leaving for Israel last evening.
