Microsoft India has won recognition from the US State Department in Washington for its commitment to the local community.

Consul-General Katherine Dhanani of the US Consulate in Hyderabad presented Microsoft India Chairman Bhaskar Pramanik the ACE special citation.

The Award was established by the US State Department in 1999 to recognise the key role US businesses play abroad as good corporate citizens promoting democratic values worldwide.

“Microsoft India was selected because of its work with people with disabilities, community service, and its commitment to the environment through energy-saving products and the LEED-certified energy-efficient building we’re in now,” said Katherine Dhanani in a press statement.
