Mindtree gets shareholder nod to raise ₹6,000 cr

Mindtree will raise up to ₹6,000 crore by selling, leasing or mortgaging movable as well as immovable properties, which shareholders have authorised.

According to the filing, Mindtree has also got the nod from shareholders to increase its authorised share capital. Shares of Mindtree closed 5.37 per cent at ₹907 on the BSE.

The mid-cap company has an equity capital of ₹83.53 crore with a face value of ₹10 per share.

The Mindtree stock had outperformed the market in the past month, rising 29.37 per cent compared with 3.44 per cent rise in the Sensex. Further, the scrip had also outperformed the market in past one quarter, rising 23.15 per cent as against Sensex’s 15.43 per cent rise in the same period.

Shareholders had more reasons to cheer. In the recently concluded 2014 fiscal results, the company also announced that it plans to issue bonus shares in the ratio of 1:1, or one additional equity share for every share owned. Additionally, the Board has recommended an interim dividend of ₹5 per equity share for the fiscal year and a special dividend of ₹5 per equity share for completing 15 years.
