IT solutions provider Rolta India today posted a consolidated net profit of Rs 63.21 crore for the July-September quarter this year against Rs 62.16 crore in the same period last year.
The company’s consolidated revenue for the quarter under review stood at Rs 470.14 crore, against Rs 485.84 crore in the same quarter last year, a company statement said here.
Rolta India, which provides IT solutions for many vertical segments, including federal and state governments, defence and homeland security, follows July-June fiscal.
“During the last few years, we have consolidated our position as a provider of end-to-end solutions by enriching our portfolio of intellectual property.
“Even though the industry faced challenges posed by the downturn in the global economy and the uncertainties in our own market, the acceptance of our differentiated offerings in the global market now gives us the confidence that the new fiscal year will see our growth rates improving,” Rolta Chairman and Managing Director K K Singh said.
During the year, the company inducted highly experienced professionals to lead various functional and geographical units and concurrently added subject matter experts to address the needs of selected verticals, Singh said.
The company has recently completed projects in North America, Europe, the Middle East and India.
Rolta has also succeeded in stepping up the pace in its engineering services business. Rolta won a contract from one of India’s major oil companies for engineering services, procurement support and construction management to build a petroleum product storage terminal depot.
The company has received a repeat order for design of a hydrogen generation module from a leading Naval organisation in recognition of superior performance earlier. On the international front, the company established a sophisticated offshore design centre for GE Energy in Mumbai, the company said.
