Sistema Shyam TeleServices (SSTL) that operates through MTS brand in India on Tuesday said that it expects a lot of collaborations after the spectrum auction gets over.

“A lot of partnerships between other players are expected once this auction gets over. We don’t know who will be winner of the 800 MHz, but we will have negotiations with others to provide services,” Dmitry Shukov, Chief Executive Officer, SSTL, told BusinessLine on the sidelines of its quarter results here.

He said since lot of data flow will happen post the spectrum auctions, the ecosystem for devices will also grow and companies would co-ordinate strategies to each other for services and to upgrade the existing equipment.

“There will be a good development of the overall industry in the next two-three years as this auction will be a growth driver for coverage,” he added.

However, SSTL is not bidding in the ongoing spectrum auction because of the high reserve prices.

Quarterly loss widens

Meanwhile, the company announced its results for the fourth quarter ended December 31, wherein it reported a 17 per cent growth of revenue at ₹351 crore as compared with ₹300 crore in the corresponding period previous year.

However, the company's loss widened to ₹481 crore during the period as compared with a loss of ₹445 crore during October-December 2013.
