Address of a firm plays a major role in building its image. More so, if you are an IT firm. But it is virtually impossible for small and medium firms to get office space in swanky areas keeping in view the huge real estate costs.

Considering this, the Telangana Government is planning to build MSME Tower exclusively for the IT industry. “You don’t sell well if you are in a not-so happening place. You need to have an address in the IT hub. Keeping this in view, we are going to build the tower in an extent of seven acres,” Telangana Information Technology Minister K Taraka Rama Rao said.

Interacting with reporters in the Meet-the-Press organised by the Press Club of Hyderabad here on Thursday, he said the Union Minister for Information Technology and Communications, Ravi Shankar Prasad, is going to inaugurate the country’s biggest technology incubator T-Hub.

The first phase of the project will be inaugurated at the International Institute of Information Technology (Hyderabad) at Gachibowli.

The Minister answered questions on a wide ranging issues, covering agriculture, IT, industry and politics.

Taraka Rama Rao said the Government had identified 14 broad areas of industry verticals. “We will focus on IT, life sciences and aerospace in Hyderabad, saving other verticals for other parts of the State,” he said.
