Videocon Telecom, the telecommunication arm of the Videocon Group, is evaluating a bid for the 900 Mhz spectrum in Delhi in the upcoming spectrum auction.

“The sharp cut in the floor price for 900 Mhz spectrum is very attractive, and particularly for Delhi telecom circle, it makes a very lucrative business case. The Delhi telecom circle is of utmost importance to us, both strategically and potentially, and the fact the Delhi licence will be available on 900 Mhz spectrum completely fits in with our strategic framework,” Arvind Bali, Director and CEO, Videocon Telecom, said.

The operator has appointed consulting firm Deloitte to formulate a business plan and rollout strategy for the Delhi circle, it said in a statement.
