The Chennai-based Zebronics India, a leading player in IT peripherals, audio/video and surveillance products, has introduced ‘selfie stick,’ a mobile phone accessory.
Selfie stick is a monopod used to take selfie photographs by mounting the mobile phone camera.
The ZEB-SS100 selfie stick is available in retail and online stores. Priced at Rs 999, it comes with a one- year warranty.
Users just need to twist the handle to increase the length and then twist the other way to lock it, a company spokesman said.
The folded length is 24 cm, while it can be stretched up to 79 cm. The length can be increased in five steps.
The ZEB-SS100 comes with built-in Bluetooth shutter release button. Once it is paired with the smart phone, the button on the selfie stick handle grip can be used to take photographs.
It comes with built-in battery for Bluetooth operation and micro USB port for charging the battery.
It also has a special mounting unit for cell phone which can be rotated and locked into place, the spokesman added.
The mount is designed not to damage the mobile phone and yet mount it very securely. The mounting mechanism can be expanded up to 80 mm.
