Gold futures on the Multi Commodity Exchange opened lower at Rs 29,716 per 10 grams on Friday against the previous close of Rs 29,742.
It made a high of Rs 29,800 and low of Rs 29,645. It was trading down by 0.25 per cent at Rs 29,667 at 2.20 p.m.
In Comex, the yellow metal for April delivery was up by $4 at $1,582 a troy ounce at 2.20 p.m.
