Wipro traded on a firm note to quote at Rs 596.25 at close on the NSE on Tuesday. This was a gain of 3.22 per cent on its previous close of Rs 577.65.
Ambuja Cement shed some of its morning gains by close to trade at Rs 164.10 as against Rs 160.05 at close on Monday. This represented a gain of 2.53 per cent.
Bajaj Auto rode up in afternoon trade to trade at Rs 1,902.25, a gain of 2.17 per cent on its overnight close of Rs 1,861.80.
BPCL flared up 2.16 per cent to trade at Rs 371.85 as against Rs 364 at close on Monday.
BHEL was up 2.01 per cent at Rs 159.70. It had closed the previous session at Rs 156.55.
