Two-wheeler majors Bajaj Auto and Hero Motocorp, along with the banking giant SBI and capital goods leader L&T, emerged as the major gainers on the BSE today, enabling the Sensex to hold firm ahead of the opening of the European markets.

However, the Tata group companies in the Sensex, which had made handsome gains in yesterday’s trading, took a pause in the rally but made small gains.
