The shares of Butterfly Gandhimathi Appliances Ltd spurted by Rs 15.30 to Rs 362 on the BSE today after the company announced that it had won a major order from the Tamil Nadu Civil Supplies Corporation valued Rs 460 crore for supply of kitchen appliances.
The single order constitutes nearly 76 per cent of the revenue earned by the company last year.
In a notification to the stock exchanges, the company said the order valued at Rs 460.50 crore (exclusive of TNVAT) was for supplying table-top wet grinders and domestic electric food mixes during the current fiscal.
During 2011-12, the company’s net income was Rs 594.72 crore and the net profit was Rs 30.41 crore. The EPS was Rs 19.71.
