Financial sector shares SBI and HDFC were broadly firm on the bourses on Friday morning. At 10.29 am SBI was the top gainer on the NSE as well, trading at Rs 237.25 against Rs 233.90 at close yesterday. This was a gain of 1.43 per cent.
HDFC advanced 0.88 per cent to trade at Rs 1,216.45 against Rs 1,205.85 at close last evening.
Infosys edged up 1.03 per cent to quote at Rs 1,134.5. The share had ended the previous session at Rs 1,122.90.
Asian Paints gained 0.78 per cent to trade at Rs 812.15 against Rs 805.85 at close yesterday.
Larsen & Toubro climbed 0.72 per cent at Rs 1,378.85 against Rs 1,368.95 at close overnight.
