Motherson Sumi shares tumble over 4%

Shares of Motherson Sumi Systems plunged over 4 per cent today as December quarter earnings may disappoint.

The stock fell as much as 4.26 per cent from the day’s high.

The auto parts maker’s net income may come in at Rs 320 crore ($46.9 mln) v/s consensus estimate of 339 crore, according to Thomson Reuters Starmine SmartEstimates.

Motherson, which counts Volkswagen as its top client, may have been affected due to the emission scandal at German auto giant, according to traders.

Motherson will report its December quarter results later in the day.
