Pharma shares maintained their firm undertone to stay among the top gainers on the BSE at the close on Wednesday. Sun Pharma extended its morning rally to notch up gains of 4.40 per cent at Rs 928 near the close. The scrip finished the overnight session at Rs 888.85.
Lupin also advanced further to hold gains of 2.59 per cent at Rs 1,800.65 against Rs 1,755.25 at close on Tuesday.
Wipro traded higher to hold gains of 2.14 per cent at Rs 583.5 against Rs 571.30 at close yesterday.
Hero MotoCorp rode up 1.82 per cent at Rs 2,690 against Rs 2,641.85 at close yesterday.
Cipla edged down a tad to hold gains of 1.77 per cent at Rs 695.75 against Rs 683.65 at close overnight.
