Tata Steel extends gains, up nearly 6% on BSE

Tata Steel extended its gains to stay ahead of the pack on the BSE near the close on Wednesday. At 3.10 pm it held gains of 5.88 per cent to quote at ₹452. The stock had closed the previous session at ₹426.90.

Bajaj Auto gained 3.17 per cent to trade at ₹2,042 as against ₹1,979.20 at close on Tuesday.

Coal India also advanced to hold gains of 2.80 per cent in late trading. It was quoting at ₹340.95 as against its previous close of ₹331.65.

NTPC made further ground to hold gains of 2.40 per cent at ₹125.80. The stock finished Tuesday's session at ₹122.85.

ITC also made rapid gains to emerge among the top gainers by the close. It was quoting at ₹365.75, representing a gain of 1.30 per cent on its previous close of ₹361.05.
