IT shares Tech Mahindra and HCL Technologies were among the top gainers on the NSE on Wednesday morning. At 11 am Tech Mahindra was quoting at Rs 639.75 as against Rs 619.25 at close yesterday. This represented a gain of 3.31 per cent.
Tata Power was on a firm wicket, trading at Rs 78. This was a gain of 2.83 per cent on its overnight close at Rs 75.85.
HCL Technologies was quoting at Rs 954.50, up 2.18 per cent on its overnight close at Rs 934.15.
UltraTech Cement firmed up 1.57 per cent to quote at Rs 3,017.95 as against Rs 2,971.40 at close yesterday.
ICICI Bank was trading at Rs 320.20 as against Rs 315.35 at close on Tuesday, a gain of 1.54 per cent.
