The Chairman, Karnataka Vikas Grameena Bank (KVGB), Mr C. Sambasiva Reddy, and five other people were awarded with Purandara Samman Puraskar 2012 by Purandarotsava Samiti at a function held at Dharwad.
For the last 10 years, the Dharwad-based Samiti has been honouring people who have made outstanding contribution to the society.
