Xpress Money has launched a financial literacy road show in the State to raise awareness about safe means of money transfer.

This will involve a vehicle that will travel over 130 locations across major foreign remittance receiving towns and villages in the State.

It was flagged off in Thiruvananthapuram and will gradually cover major remittance locations such as Alappuzha, Ernakulam, Thrissur, Kozhikode, Kannur, Malappuram and Wayanad.

Xpress Money’s branded vehicle will visit areas of high population density where it will engage with local people and highlight risks involved in sending money through illegitimate means.

Arvind Mylar, regional vice-president, business development, South Asia, for Xpress Money said that the campaign is an ongoing countrywide initiative and has been rolled out in all major remittances receiving states such as Punjab, Uttar Pradesh, Tamil Nadu and Andhra Pradesh.

It would soon be launched in growing remittance pockets such as Bihar and Haryana, Mylar added.
