DBS Bank India appoints Shantanu Sengupta as consumer banking head

Foreign lender DBS Bank has announced Shantanu Sengupta as the Head of Consumer Banking Group in India.

Sengupta will report to Surojit Shome, CEO-India (based in Mumbai) and Pearlyn Phau, Deputy Group Head of Consumer Banking & Wealth Management (based in Singapore) of DBS Bank, DBS said in a statement.

Prior to joining DBS, Shantanu has earlier worked as the Head of Retail Banking India for RBS, where he was responsible for spearheading the digital transformation of their Retail Bank.

Sengupta has also worked with ABN Amro Bank, Citibank and Bank of America in his earlier stints.
