Lakshmi Vilas Bank (LVB) on Monday said it has received the Reserve Bank of India approval for the appointment of Parthasarathi Mukherjee as its MD & CEO.
Mukherjee succeeds Rakesh Sharma, who joined Canara Bank as MD & CEO in September.
Prior to joining LVB, Mukherjee was Group Executive (Corporate Relationships and International Business). Overall, he has more than 33 years experience in the banking industry.
Before joining Axis Bank (erstwhile UTI Bank), Mukherjee worked with State Bank of India for 12 years. He started his career as a probationary officer in 1982 in India's largest bank.
