17 Indians from Iraq conflict zone on their way home: MEA

17 Indians from the conflict zone in Iraq have reached Baghdad and will reach home shortly, the Ministry of Externatl Affairs has said.

The Ministry of External Affairs has issued an advisory pointing out that Irbil, Baghdad and Basra airports are open and those who wish to travel out should do so. Indian Embassy in Baghdad is also opening a camp office in Basra, Najaf and Karbala to help Indians.

The embassy is also working with Iraqi officials including immigration officials to help Indians.
