The Central Bureau of Investigation on Thursday registered a fresh case against Rathi Steel and Power Ltd.
“A fresh case has been filed in the coal allocation probe against Rathi Steel and Power Ltd. This is for alleged mis-representation,” a source told Business Line .
Searches were conducted in Delhi and Ghaziabad on Thursday.
Earlier this week, the investigative agency booked politician and businessman Naveen Jindal and his company Jindal Steel and Power (JSPL). The investigative agency has also booked former Minister of State (MoS) for Coal, Dasari Rao, in the alleged coal block allocation scam.

The Coal Ministry has issued a showcause notice to the Andhra Pradesh Mineral Development Corporation Ltd for not developing the Suliyari mine in Madhya Pradesh.
