Daimler India Commercial Vehicles has reported a 28 per cent growth in sales in 2017 over that of the previous year. DICV has reported highest-ever annual sales of 16,717 units in 2017, up 28 per cent, when compared with 3,081 units in 2016.
The Indian arm of the German auto major Daimler AG has seen its market share grow to 9.1 per cent in 2017 from 6.8 per cent in 2016. This market share growth comes on the back of its highest-ever annual sales.
“2017 was a very good year for DICV due to the transition to BS-IV and the introduction of GST. Based on our strong product portfolio, we expect further growth,” said Erich Nesselhauf, Managing Director and CEO, DICV.
