Great Lakes Institute of Management intends to tie up with the Brazilian B-school Fundação Dom Cabral (FDC). S. Sriram, Executive Director, GLIM, says the MoU, which it will sign soon with FDC, will promote a comparative study of two important BRICS economies, with a view to foster potential partnerships that will be mutually beneficial between the governments and businesses.

“The idea is not only to join forces but also understand the similarities, differences and potential to learn from each other,” says Sriram. Later, the same framework and approach will be used to engage with other BRICS nations.

The proposed MoU, apart from facilitating an Indo-Brazil Club, will explore joint programmes and research studies focused on Indo- Brazil co-operation and relationships.

A faculty and student exchange programme is planned. While the FDC students are working professionals, Great Lakes will have a mix of working professionals, MBA students with and without experience, who can travel to FDC.

“We are discussing all these points and we hope to firm this up at the earliest,” says Sriram.
