Eisai Pharma donates Rs 31 lakh for cyclone relief

Eisai Pharma Technology Manufacturing Pvt Ltd, which has a unit in the Jawahar Pharma City at Parawada in Visakhapatnam district, has donated Rs 31 lakh to the AP Chief Minister's relief fund for cyclone relief activities, according to a press release.

The cheque was handed over to the Chief Minister on Monday evening by the company Associate Vice-President, S R Saini, who said the company was also involved in plantation drive after the cyclone and it was also taking up several community development works.

He said Eisai was also running a memory clinic at the King George Hospital in Visakhapatnam and supplying DEC tablets free-of-charge as part of WHO's programme to eradicate filariasis.
