ICAI Bangalore branch to hold ‘Jnana Vistara’ on June 21 & 22

The Bangalore branch of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) plans to hold two-day state-level conference – ‘Jnana Vistara’ (extending the horizon).

Babu K Thevar, Chairman of Bangalore branch of ICAI, said: “The event will be held on June 21 and 22 at the Nimhan's Convention Centre, Bangalore. The conference is designed to meet the requirements of Chartered Accountants, both in practice and in service.”

“As rapid changes are taking place globally, CAs needs to keep themselves abreast of the changes, developments that are happening to stay competitive,” he added.

Karnataka Chief Minister, Siddaramaiah, will be inaugurating the conference which is expected to see members from across the state participate.

Thevar said the conference will deliberate upon – The current topics of professional interest like 'Capital Gains – real estate transactions'; 'National Economy – Analysis of the current scenario'; 'FEMA – recent developments and challenges'; 'Service Tax – certain issues on negative list and reverse charge mechanism'; 'Domestic transfer pricing' and Overview of companies act, 2013.
