The Taxation Laws (Second Amendment) Bill, 2016 was passed by the Lok Sabha on Tuesday without debate.
The Bill was introduced on Monday by Finance Minister Arun Jaitley to penalise and tax deposits into bank accounts of unexplained income post the government decision to demonetise high-value currency notes of ₹500 and ₹1,000.
