Adityaa Milk Ice-Cream introduced in Kerala

The Belgaum-based Vijaykant Dairy & Food Products has introduced Adityaa Milk Ice-Cream in Kerala.

According to Sivkanth Sidnal, Managing Director, the ice-cream market in Kerala is estimated at ₹700 crore and the company is targeting an annual sales of ₹100 crore within the first three years.

The company collects more than 2 lakh litres of fresh cow milk every day from around 40,000 farmers spread across nearly 1,500 villages in Karnataka to process various milk products.

Besides Kerala, the product was launched in Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, Maharashtra, Goa, Rajasthan and Delhi. The brand had recently won the gold medal in premium ice-cream category and silver medal in standard vanilla ice-cream category at the Danisco Great Indian Ice Cream Contest.

P B Prakash, Marketing Head, Kerala, said the ice-cream will be available in as varied as 30 flavours in 187 SKUs (stock keeping units) through 75 distributors across 25,000 retail outlets. The brand is available in all the three regular, natural and premium variants.
