Road shows by Kerala Tourism in the Nordic region of Europe recently have elicited good response from at least 80 attendees representing 55 companies from three countries.

The road shows were organised in Norway, Finland and Denmark earlier this week, according to PI Sheikh Pareeth, Director, Kerala Tourism.

The road shows were first held at Norway’s capital Oslo. India’s Ambassador to Norway Air Chief Marshal (retired) NAK Browne was the chief guest.

The caravan then travelled to Helsinki, capital of Finland, where Ashok Kumar Sharma, the Ambassador of India to Finland and Estonia, was the chief guest.

Visa on arrival

Finland is one of the countries that enjoy visa-on-arrival facility in India. It is easier now for tourists to travel from there to Kerala, Pareeth said.

The road show in Copenhagen, Denmark, was held on November 13 where Ambassador Niraj Srivastava was the chief guest.

Kerala Tourism’s tryst with the Nordic region had followed that with Australia and New Zealand. The event in Auckland was its first in New Zealand.
