The Government will recommend Senior Congress leader Kamal Nath's name for the post of protem Speaker in the Lok Sabha, Parliamentary Affairs Minister Venkaiah Naidu has said.
Naidu, who took charge as Parliamentary Affairs Minister here on Wednesday, said that Kamal Nath will be assisted by about 4 senior Members of Parliament.
After assuming charge, Naidu proceeded to meet the President Pranab Mukherjee at Rashtrapati Bhavan.
The Union Cabinet is likely to meet this evening to discuss the dates for the brief Parliament Session.
