Adarsh probe report to be tabled in this Assembly session

The investigation report on the Adarsh Housing Society scam would be tabled in the ongoing session of the Maharashtra Legislature, Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar said.

“The report would be tabled during this session,” Ajit said in the Assembly replying to BJP MLA Devendra Fadnavis who alleged that the Government was dilly-dallying on the issue.

The opposition BJP, Shiv Sena and Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS), have been demanding that the Government table the inquiry report in the legislature, along with the Action Takne Report (ATR).

Chief Minister Prithviraj Chavan recently said the Government had received the report and would table it at an “appropriate time.”

The Government had in January 2011 constituted the two-member commission of retired High Court Justice J. A. Patil and former Chief Secretary P. Subrahmanium to probe the Adarsh scam with reference to specific issues, such as land ownership, reservation of the plot, town planning and coastal violations and the role of public servants.
