The Kochi-Muziris Biennale will host an all-Kerala Children’s Biennale for school students which will see their works displayed at the ongoing cultural festival if they top an upcoming art competition.

The first phase of the endeavour, which is for students of class I to VII, will be held at 11 am on January 19 at Aspinwall House, the heritage building in Fort Kochi that will eventually show the works of all the winners.

The time for painting will be two hours and world-renowned painters will be the judges, according to the Kochi Biennale Foundation. The fee for enrolling will be Rs 150.

There is no specification about the theme or the medium of painting. “The subject can be anything; one can use water-colour or oil or whatever,” said a spokesperson. “We will provide the participants with paper and clipboard.”

The participating student, along with the guardian, will be entitled to a free visit of the biennale. For more information, contact 9562905563.
