Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar today decried the blame game between BJP and Congress over Kishtwar communal strife, and suggested that the Omar Abdullah Government be given a proper opportunity to handle the situation.

“There is no basis for finger pointing on each other.

Everybody knows that Jammu and Kashmir has a distinct condition where situation sometimes improves and sometimes deteriorates,” Kumar told reporters in reaction to a question on Kishtwar communal tension.

The Government of the State should get sufficient opportunity to handle the situation, Kumar said, appealing to the people of Kashmir to maintain harmony.

“There is no discrimination against anybody in the country. Everybody wishes to make India strong for which all the regions should register progress,” he said.

Kumar was talking to reporters on the sidelines of Harit Samagam programme organised by the department of Environment and Forest.
