Chennai floods: Karnataka offers Rs 5 cr humanitarian assistance

Karnataka government has offered Rs 5 crore humanitarian assistance to flood affected Tamil Nadu.

A decision to this effect was taken by Chief Minister Siddaramaiah.

The state has planned to send medicines and other essentials to the affected people in Tamil Nadu.

Chief Minister, who is on a tour in New Delhi, has instructed chief secretary Kaushik Mukherjee to co-ordinate among the government departments and send the relief immediately.
