Minister of State (Independent Charge) for Environment, Forests and Climate Change, Anil Dave, said the government was waiting for an order on Jallikattu before taking a stand on the issue.
The Supreme Court has given strong verdicts opposing the traditional sport practised in Tamil Nadu on two occasions previously.
Dave, however, indicated support for the sport saying in India cultural sentiments cannot be ignored.
