The Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) has lined up three launches of PSLV and one of GSLVs by the end of 2015 from India’s spaceport in Sriharikota.

Stating this, M Y S Prasad, Director- Satish Dhawan Space Centre (SDSC), said the indigenous technology and components percentage will be increased in the coming years in space projects. It will go a long way in strengthening the efforts of a self-sufficient Indian Space Mission.

He was here along with P Sudhakar, Managing Director - Electronics Corporation of India Limited (ECIL), to flag off the indigenous system developed by the latter to Sriharikota.

The ECIL handed over indigenously developed secure programmable Logic Controller (PLC) based Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition system (SCADA) to SDSC- Sriharikota. Prasad told newspersons that the system will help the Indian Space programs in avoiding the dependence on other nations.
