West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee on Monday welcomed Finance Minister Arun Jaitley's decision to withdraw the proposal to tax EPF withdrawals.
Calling it a "victory" for the common man, Banerjee tweeted: "#EPFRollBack a victory for the common people. Happy that we were the first to raise this issue. Good".
